Just a year and a half ago, the domestic market was 80-90% mastered by foreign companies Blue Prism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Kryon. Russian RPA solutions (Robotic Process Automation), although presented, were implemented mainly in companies closely associated with the public sector.

In 2022–2023, the situation turned 180 degrees. The vast majority of licenses from foreign vendors have a limited term. Even companies using perpetual licenses have encountered content writing service problems: they have been working for more than a year without technical support and the ability to scale.

Businesses are thinking about replacing systems. Moreover, over the past few years, noteworthy domestic products have appeared on the market: PIX Robotics, Primo RPA, Robin RPA, Sherpa RPA, ORPA and others, and even leaders have emerged.




The products found their niches, the market started talking about successful large-scale cases. Large players began sharing their implementation experience: Rostelecom , Rosbank , Lenta and many others.

Globally, the situation with robotization is not much different from other IT areas, where the main players were foreign companies.

On the one hand, almost all companies that already have software robots have had or will have to transfer them to domestic platforms. Which leads to costs for choosing a new solution, studying it, purchasing it, and transferring logic and scenarios. On the other hand, this has led to a significant leap in the development of the functionality and capabilities of domestic platforms.

Axenix cooperates with almost all major vendors of Russian RPA solutions, and we have been able to verify in practice that, firstly,

developers of domestic platforms are faster in technical support: any issues can be resolved in a matter of hours

Secondly, the contract conclusion phase and the transition directly to business automation are completed more quickly.

Moreover, domestic RPA platforms not only have all the capabilities that foreign ones had, but are also oriented towards the Russian market. That is, they can be integrated out of the box with popular domestic IT products, such as 1C. This has always been lacking in imported solutions.

And finally, Russian platforms are cheaper than global ones – their cost is tied to the level of wages in the Russian Federation.

Thanks to all this, the technology has become more accessible and has received a second wind.

It is not surprising that last summer analysts predicted that by 2024, up to 90% of Russian customers will switch to import-independent RPA solutions.
